In the coming weeks, the Government will approve a new Decree-Law which will include this aid, together with the rest of the economic measures announced by the President of the Government during the National Debate in the Congress of Deputies. Likewise, the intention of the Ministry of Transport is to take advantage of this legal instrument to approve Fenadismer’s historic demand for the Transport Chain Law, a structural measure that was included as a commitment in the agreements signed with the sector’s organisations last March.

The new law, a pioneer in the entire European Union and whose main objective is to rebalance commercial relations between carriers and their clients, will include, among other new features, the obligation to document contractual relations in writing, as well as the obligation for the price to be charged for transport services to always cover operating costs, thereby penalising below-cost contracting.
