On Wednesday 14th November, the Business Association of Camp de Morvedre (ASECAM) announced the winners of the Business Awards 2022 in the various categories.

The awards ceremony took place in the Auditorium of Canet d’en Berenguer at 7pm. After the awards ceremony, ASECAM organised a cocktail party for the associated companies. The event was hosted by the Sagunto journalist María José Gimeno, with the help of the president of ASECAM, Cristina Plumed, who introduced the speeches. The event was also attended by authorities from the region, such as the president of the Mancomunitat de les Valls, Toni Sanfrancisco, the mayors of Sagunt and Canet d’en Berenguer, Darío Moreno and Pere Antoni, and the president of the Valencian Business Confederation, Eva Blasco.

In this edition, ASECAM has awarded 5 different prizes: SME of the Year Award, for the company LEJ Oleo-Hidráulica; Innovative Company of the Year Award for Importaco, Territorial Dynamisation Award for Espais Econòmics Empresarial; Outstanding Person of the Year Award, presented to Francisco Campillo, president of ASCOSA-AVA Sagunt, and the Social Company Award for Alianza Logistics.

ASECAM has awarded the company because of our actions committed to the environment and society. At Alianza Logistics we have been following a Corporate Social Responsibility strategy aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals for years. These goals are part of the 2030 Agenda approved by the United Nations. There are 17 goals established by the UN to alleviate global inequalities, among which we can find multi-sectoral actions to end poverty, protect the planet and improve the lives and prospects of people around the world.

In terms of environmental work, we can point to the creation of the Alianza Logistics forest, internal sustainability campaigns and measures, and our management of energy and resources. Thanks to these actions, the company has been awarded the Calculo y Reduzco seal by the National Carbon Footprint Register.

In terms of socially committed work, at Alianza Logistics we have created workshops in regions of Africa to encourage the economic independence of impoverished women. At the national level, the company has managed aid to non-profit organisations and institutions and solidarity actions with people with functional diversity and hospitalised children.

During the presentation of the Social Business Award, some of the representatives of Alianza Logistics came up to the stage. Among them: Alexis Dasca, Director of Business Development; Juan Miguel Dasca, CEO, and María González, Head of Management Systems.

“For us, Corporate Social Responsibility is the truck in which we carry our most precious merchandise”, said our Management Systems Manager, during the award ceremony. González also pointed out the need to continue in the line of sustainability with a view to 2023.

Finally, Alexis Dasca thanked the organisers of the ASECAM Awards for having commemorated sustainability, innovation and entrepreneurship, among other business values.
